Oklahoma City Thunder hosts game 3

The Oklahoma City Thunder hosts game three of the NBA Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Mavericks Saturday May 21, 2011 in Oklahoma City. After a thrilling first half ending with a score of 52-36, The Dallas Mavericks shot 55 percent from the field, so the Mavericks were gettin' it done in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City only shot 29 percent from the field in the first half, and were 0-8 from three point land.

Power forward Dirk Nowitzki with 4 points for the Mavericks at the half, so he was quiet from the field, however, helped the Mavs to go 5 for 9 from three. Nowitzki's game can be described as one of the greatest shooting performances so far in the playoffs, a living legend who's name has been used in the same sentence as Michael Jordan and Larry Bird. Let's see what the future hall-of-famer can do in the second half.

Turnovers proved to be costly for the Oklahoma City Thunder, as they racked up 9 in the first.

To start the second half the Oklahoma City Thunder take a timeout after guard for the Mavericks Jason Kidd throws in a leisurely teardrop shot to make the score 56-36, Dallas.

Dirk starts off 2-9 from the field, and the Mavericks go up 61-42 with 7:00 left in the third..

And the Thunder cut within 15 of the score of 65-50, Dallas with 3:00 left in the third. The league's leading scorer Kevin Durant puts in work for the Thunder with 15 points going into the fourth quarter, and is 0-7 from three point range. Unfortunately for Oklahoma City, the Mavericks go up 2-1 in the series thanks to Dirk and win this one in Oklahoma City with a final score of 93-87.
